Our unique venue offers versatile and flexible spaces for conferences, corporate dinners, wedding receptions, community meetings, social gatherings, lunches, press events and more. We are ideally situated in the bustling Shoreditch area of London, within a stone’s throw of Spitalfields Market, historic Brick Lane, and the Square Mile. We are within easy reach of Liverpool Street and Algate East Underground Stations, as well as Shoreditch High Street Overground Station. An impressive glass entrance leads from the Vestibule to the historic oak-panelled Nave where the bold symmetrical design adds impact to the striking ceiling of flowers, each one unique. Columns provide natural divisions and unique versatility. Lit by chandeliers and steeped in history this grand space is an unforgettable location for banqueting and special occasions and a stunning backdrop for photography and filming. The Nave hosts up to 270 for seated dining and 600 for standing receptions and works equally well with smaller numbers. Features include two mezzanine galleries and a separate meeting room. Running under the full length of the church, the recently refurbished Crypt is home to our Café in the Crypt and offers a versatile space for meetings and events. Ideal as a break out space for functions upstairs in the Nave, The Crypt can also be used for meetings, drinks and canapé receptions, private dining, social gatherings and community groups. Hanbury Hall has a fascinating history that dates back to 1719. Originally built as a small Hugenot chapel, it has accommodated many different East London congregations over the years eventually becoming part of Christ Church in 1887.Today Hanbury Hall remains at the heart of the Shoreditch community, serving sandwiches, slices, pastries and hot drinks from its street front café just around the corner from historic Brick Lane. The main hall is an intimate venue for hosting corporate events, groups and community meetings and is regularly used for filming. With innovative menus tailored to each individual event, our team prides itself on delivering an outstanding dining experience every time. The emphasis is always on food quality and provenance, with a nod to the Shoreditch vibe. Our expertise stretches from elegant canapés, à la carte fine dining and bistro style buffets to casual coffees, fresh bakes and salads at Café in the Crypt.
